Steamers is the place to be if you're in the mood for some sinfully delicious seafood. It is located across from Snow Hinton Park, one block from the corner of McFarland Blvd East & Hargrove Road. You'll feel like you're right on the Gulf where upon exiting you may be shocked to discover there is indeed no beach-front outside. The inside however is where the magic happens. The atmosphere is surfside casual, so be prepared for a relaxing laid back experience.
The last time we paid them a visit was on a very bust Friday night. Amazingly though, we were able to be seated quickly and our food was served to us fast, hot and delicious. Our server was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
It's nice to have someplace to go to where you can get great food and have a great time. The editor will be sure to frequent this local establishment many more times, especially when they re-locate to the Black Warrior River in the not too distant future.
Appetizer: Crab Claws - Makes me want to go down to Gulf Shores just thinking about them.
Entrée: Fried Combination Platter - Light and crispy goodness that's diverse and hearty enough to please anybody.
Dessert: Apple Pie - Sweet and delicious, perfect with a cup of coffee.
