BottomFeeders, located on 5th Street, just a few blocks west of the Main Street intersection in Downtown Northport is a down home delight, serving up some of the tastiest catfish and hushpuppies around.
Our recent visit was just great. Through the course of our meal at least 3 different “BottomFeeders” stopped by to ensure things were going well and that we had everything we needed. We definitely feel we were taken care of.
The dining area is cheerfully and colorfully decorated with whimsical knickknacks. The theme is a mixture of piggys and sunflowers, sure to brighten anyone’s day.
The food of course is the main attraction served up hot and fast. There’s nothing pretentious at all about this menu, serving up such Southern standards as ribs, BBQ, catfish and coleslaw. Get ready to leave Bottomfeeders full and satisfied.
Appetizer: They don’t have much in terms of appetizers, but if you don’t order some of those tasty hushpuppies you’ll sure wish you had.
Entrée: Ribs. They have a spicy and unique sauce to accompany this dish that’s definitely worth mentioning. And that’s saying a lot considering that some of the best BBQ around calls Tuscaloosa home.
Dessert: Apple cake. Moist and delicious.
