The Epiphany, located downtown on Greensboro Avenue, is among Tuscaloosa’s “finest” fine dining restaurants. An upscale eatery that manages not to lose its Southern charm with wonderful dishes from Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes with Creamed Butter Beans to Curried Beef Short Ribs with Cheddar Grits.
The editor’s last experience at Epiphany was exceptional as usual. Our prompt and professional server Anthony led us through the menu with ease making excellent recommendations. Tres Jackson, owner and executive chef, can walk anyone through what is truly one of the best wine lists in all of Tuscaloosa.
The menu has a respectable assortment without being overwhelming. They offer fresh fish and seafood, plus a variety of meats, salads and pasta all with unique and well planned sauces.
Appetizer: Stuffed Mushrooms with crabmeat. Delicious mushroom caps stuffed with crabmeat, cheese and green onions.
Entrée: Tilapia, preparation varies with this dish but it is always a good choice. OR Proscuitto, sweet corn and goat cheese pasta, rich and delectable.
Dessert: Chocolate Soufflé. Light and sweet.
