Steamers Restaurant Has Come A Long Way...Literally

October 31st, 2006

The restaurant's humble beginnings started in the Tuscaloosa Bama Bowl Shopping Center
where Maharaja of India is now located and has crescendoed to its newest creation on the
banks of the Black Warrior River in Northport.

Steamers Restaurant had its inception in July 1996 when it was located in the Bama Bowl Shopping
Center near the campus of the University of Alabama. The Wyatt family kept the it there
until the summer of 2001 when they moved operations to the next location next to Snow Hinton Park on
Hargrove Road. Steamers mad that its home for the next 5 or so years when the Wyatt family
moved the restaurant to #1 Bridge Avenue in Northport which is on the banks of the
Black Warrior River in Northport, Al. next to where the old cotton gin was.

Below are some pictures depicting the transition that the restaurant has undergone.
