My wife and I went here after seeing one of their "authentic Italian food" commercials. I ordered the shrimp scampi and she ordered the chicken Alfredo for around $25. We had to pay before we got the food.

When we got the food the scampi consisted of dried noodles and 4 shrimp. Hers was noodles with fried chicken with only a little lumpy sauce.

I asked for a refund but the owner refused.

Lighting poor. Atmosphere poor-all old people.

Nothing fancy here, but good food at moderate prices. I had the lasagna for $7.75, my sweetie had spaghetti and meatballs, the Friday night special for $6.50. Both came with salad and bread (but no butter---drats!) My lasagna was stuffed full of delicious meat. Yummy!

There was plenty to eat. We went food shopping at Wal Mart afterwards, and were both so full from dinner, there was no temptation to overbuy. You know how that goes.

Anyway, the iced tea was pretty good, even tho it was in a Styrofoam cup.

The worst thing I can say about Mr. Gís is that the atmosphere is nothing to write home to mother about. There were some overhead lights glaring, and I happen to hate overhead lights. The tablecloths were plastic, and note the aforementioned Styrofoam cups. Counter service gives you the feeling of being in a fast-food joint, but on the plus side, you donít need to leave a tip.

Also on the plus side, the place smells wonderful.
