We used to enjoy eating at Applebee's in Northport but that changed a couple of months ago. We ordered the steak with mushroom gravy over it. The problem started when our food was brought out. The "cook" and the waitress came out bringing our food. The "cook" put down a steak and another dish at the table next to us. It was clear that the "cook" had given that table our food. The waitress came up and took the chicken dish which the "cook" had set down and gave it to us but left the steak on that table. I tried to cut into "my"steak it was so RAW it was TOUGH(I had ordered a medium well). I showed it to the waitress and asked if "the chef" could cook it a little longer. When she brought it back out the steak was covered with the gravy and still RAW!!! I showed it to the waitress and we left.

I have never had a bad experience at an Applebee's, and the Tuscaloosa Applebee's does not disappoint. It's everything you would expect in the quality of food, service and atmosphere. You know what you're going to get here.

The restaurant building is a bit older and smaller than the one I am used to in the South Florida area, but everything else was just as good, including a wonderful succession of smells that kept wafting through the air. When you go in hungry, it makes the waiting for your food absolutely delightful.

In addition, there were 99 cent specials on drinks from 3-7pm. A good deal, and a nice time.
