On the whole, it isn now, my favorite Tuscaloosa eating place. I also like the Newk's near UAB in Birmingham. They are above average. Foods are great. A little TASTE, for a change!

Very good food,delicious cakes, Sweet Tea is great
Taste, texture, quantity and quality are excellent
Clean and orderly environment
The employess are very nice and helpful
I dine here very often and I would tell anyone to stop by Newk's and enjoy the nice atmosphere

For deli-style restaurants, this one is more up-scale than the others in town. It is a bit noisy in the front room, so acoustics could be better, but the soup and sandwiches are top-notch. I don't especially like the salad dressings. They are spicier than what I am accustomed to, but then that is part of what Newk's is all about.
