I have a daughter that attends the university and wanted to get married in Tuscaloosa. After dining at the Flamingo Room, we discussed having a bridal brunch the day of her wedding, at the restaurant. We rented the room for just our party and it was fabulous. We were able to enjoy ourselves without worrying about disturbing others. The atmosphere was cheerful and welcoming. The pink, black and white decorations made a perfect place for our bridal event. The owner was attentive and made sure the party went smoothly and we all were enjoying ourselves. I would recommend The Flamingo Room for private events and for a unique lunch experience. This is the kind of place that when you walk in you start smiling and that smile is still there when you leave.

I have had a party catered inside the restaurant and I eat there almost two or three times a week. The desserts are amazing and the atmosphere is cozy, whimsical and relaxing. This is a great place to go with a family or enjoy a meal by yourself while reading a great book! My favorite cake was the Key Lime Cake until I had the Festive Cake, and that is now my new favorite. This is friendly place to be, and I don't know what the other reviewers problem is, but I recommend a visit.

How are they still in Buisness Dated:Friday March 9th 2007 at 12:52:43 PM |

This place has awful service, frightening decor, and the most terrible food I have eaten in Tuscaloosa. The french onion soup was served with soggy white bread and american cheese, and their eight dollar hamburger was obviously frozen. This meal was expensive and disgusting. I could not physically consume the food presented, so my dining partner and I left without eating, and got a satisfying meal elsewhere.
